The torus is the only member of the primitive sold classification that does not complete itself at a point, but rather turns back onto itself. For this reason it is one of the most structural. This also leads to a degree of difficulty when un-rolling the torus. Because of the lack of a starting point or hard edge to start the flattening process, the overall smashed surface appears distorted and incapable of being formed without great distortion.
